Shirley Harkins

Shirley Harkins has worked at the Madill City County Library since June of 1995. She qualified for a Level III certification with distinction as a Public Librarian in the state of Oklahoma in 1998. She became director in March of 2015, which involves many new things in addition to her other work: working with E-Rate, web page design, writing Librarily Speaking for the paper, cataloguing, applying for grants, collection development, summer programming, children programming, just to name a few. She enjoys spending her off time with her family especially her four grandchildren. She enjoys reading all different types of books.
